Getting Out of Debt

Danger Signals

If you answer "yes" to one or more of the below questions, it's time to stop and look at your financial situation.

1. Does it seem like you have less disposable income every month?

2. Are you close to the limit on your lines of credit?

3. Are you taking advantage of the "skip a payment" offers from creditors at christmas time?

4. Are you only making the minimum payments each month?

5. Are you using credit to pay for every day expenses?

6. Are you usually a little late paying some bills?

7. Do you have to wait until payday to pay your bills?

8. Do you have less than 4 paychecks in your savings account?

9. Do you work overtime so that you can pay your bills?

10. Do you worry about money?

Answering 'yes' to any of the above questions may not spell credit doom for you in the near future, but consider these to be warning signs that you may want to change your spending habits to avoid problems in the future.
